DHS preparing for repression as outrage over austerity looms: Randy Short

The Department of Homeland Security is about to buy 200,000 more rounds of ammunition, Infowars.com reports. This new purchase adds to the staggering figure of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition already secured by the DHS over the last 9 months alone.
Randy Short, member of Dignity, Human Rights and Peace says in doing so, the DHS is “preparing the apparatus of repression… for the outrage and outburst that is forthcoming with austerity in the United States.”
Short said, American politicians come up with “the fiscal cliff boondoggle, the lie, the fraud, the sham that America is broke, when in reality it wouldn’t be broke if its rich paid the taxes that they owed to society and we were to have a realistic reduction in our military spending we would be just about fine.”
“But in reality this compromise between President Obama, one of the weakest, most spineless lapdogs to his masters, Wall Street…They will make major social cuts.”
“One in seven Americans is not secure in food and needs assistance in buying food. They [politicians] plan to cut food stamps. What happens when 50 million Americans or more have no food?”
U.S. officials want to make cuts in unemployment benefits while, “we have millions and millions of Americans with no means to do anything.”
“These people are going to be angry. They will be in the streets. They will protest,” Short said.
