Senator Feinstein’s Assault Weapons Ban: Give Us Your Guns, No Exceptions
Commentary | California’s United States Senator, Diane Feinstein, has outraged Second Amendment advocates with the news of her plans to introduce a new law to ban all assault weapons, high capacity magazines, and pistol grips. Unlike the ban on assault weapons enacted under Bill Clinton, the bill would eliminate grandfathering, possibly requiring all Americans to surrender any banned items they owned prior to the passage of the proposed law. The still unseen law raises the specter of government agents knocking on citizen’s doors and demanding the surrender of previously legal guns and other equipment.
According to Examiner.com, Mac Salvo of The Shooting Wire was the first to break the news about Feinstein’s renewed attack on gun ownership:
“I don’t have the minutes of the meeting (yet), but sources tell me California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein’s legal staff held meetings on Friday with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new “Assault Weapons Ban” Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection. This same “pretty good intelligence” says the items that would lead to a ban would ban pistol grips and “high-capacity” magazines, eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of “weapons in possession.”

I can tell you for a fact that you wont have UN troopers going door to door disarming folk, it will be regular local cops.
In Canada, NOW, our government prohibits guns on a whim…well, our cops do (RCMP).. they seem to run the place more so then the government. They ask for new “powers” the government yields and gives in. Back to prohibiting guns: they take a once legal gun and prohibit it. IF you own said gun you get a note in the mail saying you have 30 days to turn it in for destruction. You do not get financial compensation. If you do NOT turn it it you can expect cops to show up at your house- you are deemed a criminal in possession of firearms. If you turn these guys away they call in the ERT/SWAT because there is a dangerous criminal with a firearm barricaded in a home…Ie YOU. They WILL kill you unless you comply.
Most folk simply give in to the demands. Some hide their guns but then face court/jail…. and charges dropped if they surrender their guns.
These are facts.
It is my opinion that these anti-gun laws, our “Firearms Act” come from input from our Coalition for Gun Control, part of IANSA- which has big sway in the United Nations. Rest assured similar “gun control” laws will be used in America, as it is Canada, as it was Britain/Australia.
