Some people claim that George Carlin got a little bitter and less funny towards the end of his life, and that may or may not be so. I will point out, though, that if he did get less funny, he at least became more relevant. Like Bill Hicks, his comedy became confrontational. He pointed out the absurdity of our corrupt system and our relationship to it. Frankly, either you get it, or you hate it, but at least he forced you to think, if even for a brief moment. Here is a very well done video montage on Carlin as he expertly outlines the reality of the “American Dream”…
