Today’s Big Gun Smuggling Hearing Could Be The End For Eric Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder took a beating in Congress this morning during yet another investigative hearing into the Justice Department’s botched Operation Fast & Furious gun smuggling scandal.

The hearing got off to a heated start, with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith accusing Holder and other DOJ officials of misleading Congress about their awareness and involvement in the Fast and Furious gun smuggling program. The operation allowed more than 2,000 guns to “walk” across the border into Mexico, and several of the guns have since turned up at bloody drug war crime scenes on both sides of the border, including at the site of the 2010 murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.
