Republican Representative Steve Scalise, the House Majority Whip, and his aides were shot during baseball practice on Wednesday morning.
Scalise was shot in the hip and tried to drag himself off the field after he was shot.
The shooter was identified as James T. Hodgkinson, a Trump-hating Bernie supporter from Belleville, Illinois.
Hodgkinson was using an AR-15 –a gun that is illegal in his home state – Illinois.
“Judge Napolitano: The weapon is not legal in Illinois. We don’t know where he got it or where he traveled from. It is legal at the time and place he used it but it is not legal in his home state.
So much for strict gun laws.
