‘Ignore their NONSENSE’ Iain Duncan Smith mocks Merkel and EU over threats towards Britain
BRITAIN should ignore threats from the EU and Angela Merkel and just wait for Brexit negotiations to begin, says a top Tory MP.

Iain Duncan Smith demanded the UK ignore treats from the European Union and its leaders in the lead up to Brexit negotiations.
The Conservative politician reiterated comments currently coming out of the bloc were just “window dressing”.
Speaking to Iain Dale on LBC, the Tory MP said the EU was bound to be sending warning signs to the UK.
He said: “What we saw from Mrs Merkel and all of the EU was the usual concerted attempt to try and threaten the UK.
“Which frankly made me laugh because that’s of course what they would do wouldn’t they.
“Yesterday Donald Tusk came out and said they wouldn’t be that interested in trade. This is a bloke that doesn’t run anything. Doesn’t make anything and doesn’t worry about jobs in Poland or jobs in France.
“All of that is just window dressing and just nonsense, we should just ignore it really.”
The Conservative MP joined LBC host Iain Dale in laughing at Mrs Merkel’s comments that suggested British people were suffering from “illusions” over the UK’s future outside of the European Union.
Mr Duncan Smith added: “The illusion that they have is that we are going to play the slightest bit of attention to this nonsense that is coming out of this 48-hour summit.
