Describing the spread of ISIS like a ‘cancer’, President Trump confirmed he had asked his Defence secretary Jim Mattis to put together a plan of action to fight the terrorist group.

He added that his administration was working “night and day to keep you safe”.

President Donald Trump has also stood firm on one of his most controversial campaign promises by confirming plans to repeal and replace ‘Obamacare’.

Describing the Affordable Care Act as a “disaster”, President Trump went onto proclaim that his administration had inherited “a mess”.

The care act, introduced by President Obama, was designed to give more Americans access to affordable, quality health insurance and to reduce the growth in U.S. health care spending.

In the past days, Trump has also declared war on whistleblowers in a string of strongly-worded tweets attacking leaks from US intelligence agencies over Russia’s involvement in the US election.

Taking to Twitter, the Republican president vowed to punish anyone caught leaking classified information, adding that they will “pay a big price”.
