New statistics show fentanyl is the largest drug threat to the United States, and causes the death of 44 people every day.
The DEA’s National Drug Threat Assessment yesterday published its most recent data, stating that an average of 129 deaths per day in 2014 were caused by drug overdoses.
The emergence of the synthetic opioid has increased the frequency of fatal drug abuse, as its incredible potency makes it up to 40 times stronger than heroin.
