The battle for Aleppo has intensified as the Syrian Army liberated a crucial district of Sukn-ash-Shababi, which is situated on the road to the international airport.

Since the liberation of the district it has now been possible to start work on restoring the airport.

According to a military source, the Syrian Army has cleared the area from mines and placed artillery, tanks and armored personnel carriers in the area. The next step for the army is to carry out attacks on the Ash-Shaar and Ad-Djazmati districts. The liberation of these strategic areas from the militants is only a matter of time, the respondent told Sputnik Arabic.
