On Friday night Trump set his sights on Rexnord, a bearings factory just a mile away from the Carrier plant agreed to keep 1,000 jobs in the US this week.

‘Rexnord of Indiana is moving to Mexico and rather viciously firing all of its 300 workers,’ Trump tweeted. ‘This is happening all over our country. No more!’

rump announced on Thursday that he had made a deal to save a thousand jobs in exchange for about $7million in tax breaks and gains.

He told workers at the Carrier plant: ‘Companies are not going to leave the United States anymore without consequences.’

As Trump praised his plan at the air conditioning manufacturer, Rexnord workers across the street were holding up signs that asked: ‘What about us?’

‘Is there hope? There’s always hope. But, in reality, our jobs are gone,’ Rexnord machinist John Feltner told the Indy Star.
