Argentina earthquake: Strong 6.2 magnitude tremor strikes north-west of country
A HUGE earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has struck north-western Argentina, just hours after rumours were also recorded in New Zealand and Chile.

The earthquake struck at just after 8am local time or 2pm GMT, and centred around 16 miles norther of Chilecito in La Rioja – near the Chilean border.
The quake is ranked as somewhere between a moderate and major incident, according to the Richter scale.
And experts say it had a depth of around 62 miles.
Authorities in Argentina and nearby Chile say there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries so far.
Another 5.7 earthquake has also been recorded just a few miles north, with a depth of 121 km.
Villagers reported that the movement was felt in the neighboring provinces of Catamarca, Tucuman and Cordoba.
The country’s seismic authority also reported three smaller earthquakes on Sunday.
