Depraved ISIS extremists killed 32 people in Brussels and injured more than 300 in three co-ordinated suicide bombings in March.

Government officials have confirmed tomorrow’s celebrations will go ahead as planned despite the threat of jihadists wrecking more havoc.

The concerns were heightened this afternoon when police in Brussels detained a man said to be wearing a “long winter coat” with wires hanging out.

Interior Minister Jan Jambon last week said: “We will not cancel our national day or adapt our way of life to suit the agenda of the terrorists.

“The festivities are under the responsibility of the federal police who have demanded reinforcements.

“We have decided to give them all the reinforcements they have asked for.”
