The son of assassinated al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden pledged to seek revenge against the United States for his father’s death in a video circulated online, media reported Sunday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In the video, reportedly published by al-Qaeda’s media wing As-Sahab, Hamza bin Laden allegedly vowed to target the United States for their oppression of Muslims around the globe while the revenge for his father would be in fact a revenge for all martyrs of Islam.
Osama bin Laden was killed on May 2, 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan during a US Navy SEAL special operation following a 10-year manhunt. The manhunt was initiated in part as a response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States that killed some 3,000 people.
