In a tweet about 10:39 a.m., Joint Base Andrews tweeted: “‘All Clear.’ The lock down on base has been lifted.”

Earlier in the morning, Stars and Stripes, citing the Pentagon, reported a “barricade situation” on the third floor of the building that serves as a medical facility.

Joint Base Andrews’ Twitter account, meanwhile, was a flurry of messages.
