A top MP has called for a Parliament debate to stop Brexit as the number calling for a second EU referendum reaches 2 MILLION.
David Lammy, the MP for Tottenham, made an impassioned plea as the petition became the most popular in parliamentary history.
He Tweeted: “Wake up. We do not have to do this. We can stop this madness through a vote in Parliament.
“Our sovereign Parliament needs to vote on whether we should exit the EU.
“The referendum was an advisory, non-binding referendum.
