Accounts affiliated with terrorist organization Islamic State reportedly released a target list of US officials ‘wanted to be killed’, including supposed employees of the FBI and CIA.

Vocativ reported Sunday that an ISIS-affiliated Twitter account sent out the names and addresses of people it claims work at the US Defense Intelligence Agency, National Counterterrorism Center and the National Guard.

At least some of the names on the lists were found elsewhere online, suggesting that the Islamic State Cyber Army ‘hackers’ may have actually just compiled information already available

The account that posted the lists, which also included US military members serving in the Middle East, was later taken down.

Accounts echoing the messages found by Vocativ were still active as of Sunday night, and were tweeting information that had been posted earlier this year or was publicly available.

One account referring to ‘soldiers around the world’ also shared information about individuals said to be in a number countries including the United Kingdom, Russia, France, Australia and South Africa.

There was no apparent reason for the group of names given, though one person listed says online that he is a former member of the British Army.
A group that called itself the Islamic State Hacking Division released a ‘kill list’ in March that included the pictures, addresses and names of 100 American servicemen.

It called for lone wolf-style attacks against the soldiers and said that the information came from breaching Department of Defense databases.
However, reviews of the information revealed that large amounts of the data had been readily available online.
