A popular ISIS website has been mirrored on the dark web in the wake of last week’s attacks in Paris, France.

According to researcher Scot Terban, who first analyzed the site Sunday on his Krypt3ia blog, news of the website began circulating among jihadists this weekend after instructions on how to access it appeared on a clearnet bulletin board.

“The site mirrors many of the other standard bulletin boards that the jihadi’s have had over the years replete with videos and sections in all languages,” Terban wrote. “Given that this site has popped up today in the darknet just post the attacks in Paris, one has to assume that an all out media blitz is spinning up by Al-Hayat to capitalize on the situation.”

Also known as a Tor hidden service, the site is designed to receive inbound connections from users on the Tor network – protecting both a visitor’s location and identity as well as the location of the website’s server.

“… Putting this propaganda on the dark web means it might stay up for longer than its clear web counterpart,” notes Motherboard’s Joseph Cox.
After tracking down the site’s address, Infowars was able to examine several images, videos and reports from ISIS jihadists praising last week’s attacks in France.
