The world’s food chain is maxed out. Are we at the beginning of a global food crisis? Global unrest begins with an empty stomach. Families around the world are not able to feed themselves and children are going hungry because the world’s food chain is maxed out and prices are soaring. Bad weather is creating higher prices and more global unrest as the potential for possible food riots begins. As Australia deals with biblical flooding it also deals with wheat crop losses. Concerns about food riots as big as the food riots from three years ago are starting to surface. This is a crisis not a status report.
Imagine getting up in the morning and seeing your children walk into the kitchen to ask you what is for breakfast. You, however, do not have a reply. You tell them that there is nothing to eat. Prices for food are soaring and you do not have enough money to purchase food for you or your children. This is one scenario but let’s say for a moment that you have money, however, there is not enough food for you to purchase. Imagine how that might make you feel. Imagine how it must feel to be so hungry for food that you and your neighbors are about to riot for lack of food.
