ACTIVATION BY FORCE OR ACTIVATION BY IGNORANCE?

A recent, almost ominous, article details how “you may find” a blue mark or “strip […] appearing right in front of your own home” alongside the street curb. And if I have to explain to you why this is ominous you probably should read this entire post word for word.

You see the author of the article in which I am referring, Robert Rich, reports how a local man, by the name of Anthony Welichko, made a Facebook post explaining how a blue line or stripe painted onto a curb in front of a house signifies “that the residents of this home appreciate your [police officers] service and dedication to keeping the peace.”

The Facebook post, dated Sept. 9, was titled “Safe Harbor Initiative” and went on to read as follows:

Know that when you enter the neighborhood and see these lines that you are not alone or without “back-up”. We do not need the media to make our voices of support for our police and emergency services heard (though it would be nice). Lastly, if you are in my neighborhood and mean to harm a member of law enforcement, know that decision may be hazardous to you health as someone has that officers back!

However although Welichko may have good intentions with his “Safe Harbor Initiative” his post could send a mixed message or may possibly even be a planted psychological distraction set to purposely, almost elegantly, guide the general public off the beaten path of what I already reported on back in February in an article titled X marks the spot: Strange markings appear in front of homes — red and blue list?. And even assuming Welichko’s intentions were actually good we still must seek all of the facts and details to better form a general consensus of sorts.
