The exercise involved warships of the Baltic Fleet, the Naval aviationa and a wide range of coastal military equipment. Over 20 armored carriers landed on the coast of the Baltic Sea.
Nearly 500 troops from the Russian amphibious forces landed on the coast of the Baltic Sea during drills, the press office of the Baltic Fleet reported.
According to the report, the troops landed from the Aleksandr Shabalin and Evgeny Kocheshkov amphibious ships alongside with the newest Michman Lermontov and Leitenant Rimsky-Korsakov vessels.
Over 20 armored carriers went ashore under fire support by ships of the Baltic Fleet.
The exercise involved 10 surface ships, speed boats and support vessels of the Baltic Fleet, planes and helicopters of the naval aviation as well as over 40 pieces of coastal and engineering military equipment.
