I'm thinking back to the Gulf of Tonkin, an admitted false-flag op that gave us an excuse to go to war with the Vietnamese. All we have to do is put a MK48 into the Enterprise and we're good to go against Iran, seeing as how Iran has diesel subs that could be blamed for this. I didn't make this up, it's in an Admiral Morgan series novel. Since we were going to scrap the Big E anyway, it'd probably be cheaper just to sink it. Never mind loss of life. This government kills whom it pleases, anytime, anywhere. Witness the National Defense Authorization Act. The other scenario is to have three battle groups on hand, accuse Syria of using biochemical weapons, then go in with Israel and take out both countries. Then the Navy sits back and hopes like hell Russia and China don't counter-attack. Those quieter-than-quiet Russian diesel boats could wreak havoc on a battle group. I wouldn't be feeling too comfortable right now if I were an American. With the recent introduction of nuke missiles in Cuba (see Pravda) and the recent undetected transit of the Gulf of Mexico by a Russian nuclear sub, I'd be feeling very naked and afraid. But, then, that's how they want us to feel. The longest 60 days in history is now underway.
