<description>Hello from Athens, Hellenic Republic. It has come to my attention (from a very religious friend) that ther was a prophecy made in Konstantinople
4 years after it had fallen to the Ottoman empire. It goes like this: The sultan had been bothered b a vision of a cross in the sky during his sleep. A few days after his dream, the same vison appered in the bleu and white sky. He sent for the Orthodox Patriarch who interpreted the vision by telling himm that he would hold the city for 5 5 5 years. The date was Dec 21 1457 (3 pm). This discussion was 2 years ago, before all the Dec 21 2012 prediction had been popular.

I&#039;m bringing this up in case you have anything on this specific topic, and as a matter of record, because I understand the strategic importance of Istambul for our russian friends, and because it is a kown fact that president Putin has visited the monks in Agion Oros (near Thessaloniki) as a pilgrimage, or perhaps tap in the archives of the monasteries.

Eventhough Greece is formally a member of NATO, it is a known fact that Greek have always been suspicious (or angry) of any and all US involvements, but have remained in NATO because of the animocity between Greece and Turkey.
