Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is leading the fight against China and introducing legislation that would allow Americans to sue the Chinese in court if they were stricken with COVID-19.

Blackburn, who is now serving on President Trump’s advisory group to reopen the economy, is introducing the Stop COVID Act to make China pay mightily “for the devastating harm the deadly virus has caused to the economy and human life.”

She has already found other lawmakers who will back up her efforts to punish the red menace for their reprehensible behavior in causing the pandemic. The bill would build upon the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act in order to remove “sovereign immunity for states that spread biological agents” if enacted.

“The Chinese government must be held accountable for the pain it’s inflicted across the United States,” said Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ), who is a co-sponsor of the bill, in a press release.

“Our legislation to allow Americans to file lawsuits against the Chinese Communist Party for its role in perpetuating the global spread of the coronavirus will give the U.S. a piece of justice,” she added.

“China’s Communist Party must face consequences for its role in the origin and spread of the coronavirus,” Blackburn said.

“The costs are devastating: trillions of dollars in economic damage, more than 22 million American jobs lost, and over 150,000 deaths worldwide and counting. Business owners and families who have lost loved ones deserve justice. Under this legislation, Americans will have the opportunity to take China to court in the U.S. and demand accountability for their lies and deceit,” she added.

Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) is championing the cause in the House of Representatives and introducing a similar measure in that chamber.

“Right now, the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act is a shield for the Chinese Communist Party to hide behind. We need to change that,” Gooden said. “The leadership of Senators Blackburn and McSally will be invaluable in our effort to do just that.”

Big League Politics has reported on how the China virus could have leaked from a viral research lab in Wuhan or even been devised as a bioweapon by sneaky communist operatives in the Far East:

Columnist Josh Rogin wrote an op/ed for the Washington Post on Tuesday in which he talked about the concerns with the Wuhan research facility and how American officials had warned of the lab prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Two years before the novel coronavirus pandemic upended the world, U.S. Embassy officials visited a Chinese research facility in the city of Wuhan several times and sent two official warnings back to Washington about inadequate safety at the lab, which was conducting risky studies on coronaviruses from bats,” Rogin wrote.

U.S. officials who inspected the Wuhan research facility were highly alarmed at the dangerous level of incompetence that they saw from the Chinese scientists. They made their objections in Sensitive But Unclassified diplomatic cables sent back to Washington D.C.

“During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory,” the cable from Jan. 19, 2018 states…

Rogin referenced expert Xiao Qiang, a research scientist at the School of Information at the University of California at Berkeley, who admits that there is a strong possibility that the coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab.

“The cable tells us that there have long been concerns about the possibility of the threat to public health that came from this lab’s research, if it was not being adequately conducted and protected,” Xiao said.

Rogin pointed out that the official story from China about the virus coming from a wet market in Wuhan does not hold up under scrutiny.

“Research by Chinese experts published in the Lancet in January showed the first known patient, identified on Dec. 1, had no connection to the market, nor did more than one-third of the cases in the first large cluster. Also, the market didn’t sell bats,” he explained.

“The Chinese government, meanwhile, has put a total lock down on information related to the virus origins. Beijing has yet to provide U.S. experts with samples of the novel coronavirus collected from the earliest cases,” he added.

After years of Russia being hyped by the fake news as a threat to U.S. security, it has become obvious that China is the real danger. Blackburn’s legislation would be a first step toward cutting their economic power down to size.
