I am cursed with the Cassandra Complex. It means you can see the future but when you tell people about it, no one believes you.

Even if “they knew” they still wouldn’t prepare, because it costs too much, it’s too inconvenient, it goes against their normalcy bias, or they are too afraid to think about this situation (& ignoring will make it go away, for now…). All these american I am referencing should have done military duty overseas to get a nasty dose of reality and the possibilities of life away from their comfortable world of illusion.
