OAKLAND, Calif. (INTELLIHUB) — A terrified passenger aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship told KPIX-TV staff during a phone interview as the ship prepared to dock on Monday that the vessel appeared to be encompassed by U.S. military and medical workers at the port.
“I see some military outside the ship right now,” the man explained. “As we are getting close to port I see a lot of military [and] I see a lot of ambulances.”
“It looks like a warzone,” he said. “I mean, I am terrified I am not going to lie to you.”
“I have never been to this country in my life before. This is the first time and I hope this is the last one but I am worried about the 3,500 people that are on this boat and their health.”
