Mathew 24:7

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

Luke 24:11

There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

Luke 21:36

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Who needs the Russians and Chinese as enemies when you have Mt. Rainier hovering over Seattle?

Mt. Rainier has the potential to bring about unbelievable death and destruction. I am all too aware that Mt. Rainier is a ticking time bomb. However, if one asks the locals, they are absolutely clueless as to the dangers that they face. It reminds me of the blissful ignorance that the residents of Pompeii must have enjoyed until disaster struck.

Both Mt. Rainier and also the New Madrid fault zone are both shaking, and a catastrophic seismic event at either location would cause death and destruction at unparalleled and never seen-before-level. Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most deadliest volcanoes in the world. And it is not a matter of “if” not “when” before a major eruption occurs and produces a catastrophic loss of life. When that day finally arrives, Mt. Rainier has the potential to bury hundreds of square miles with a colossal tsunami of super-heated mud that is literally several hundred feet deep.

Because Mt. Rainier is located in proximity to major population centers, the threat goes up exponentially. It is very important to consider what just happened at Mt. Rainier. The USGS reported that Mt. Rainier was hit by a magnitude 3.6 earthquake on Sunday afternoon…

An abrupt amount of seismic activity this past weekend, Mount Rainier National Park was shaken by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday afternoon. The quake, in question, occurred just after noon. and it was felt as far as Kent, which is 80 miles away, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

In addition to that quake, there have been quite a few others in recent days. In fact, it is being reported that Mt. Rainier has been hit by “more than a dozen” earthquakes since Thanksgiving. The mainstream media is doing its fair share of covering up thesis potential every as the local Seattle Times is telling the public that this is perfectly normal, but interestingly they “should prepare for what might happen in the event of an eruption” just in case, people living near Mount Rainier should prepare for what might happen in the event of an eruption. A Mount Rainier eruption could cause lahars, which are large volcanic mudflows to rip down the side of the mountain. Lahars from Rainier pose the most risk to life as many communities lie atop older lahar deposits. According to the USGS, about 150,000 people live on top of old lahar deposits of Rainier. The 5000-year-old Osceola Mudflow would destroy seven surrounding communities. The mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and amazingly, cause a tsunami in Puget Sound and Lake Washington.
