Parents Enraged After School District Airs Graphic Sexual Video From Planned Parenthood to Students

Parents are enraged after a Florida school district played a video to students featuring graphic sexual content from the abortion provider Planned Parenthood.
The video, “How Do You Know if Someone Wants to Have Sex with You,” was presented to high school students in Sarasota without parental notification before it was shown. It was presented by the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) to allegedly teach children about consent.
“Asking for consent doesn’t have to be awkward. Asking for consent can be kind of sexy,” the narrator said in the video.
The video featured footage of a guy grabbing a woman’s breast and a same-sex couple making out. The school board noted that they have been deluged with anger from parents in the aftermath of showing the video to children.
“We are getting a flood of e-mails, phone calls and Facebooks,” said Sarasota County school board member, Eric Robinson.
“As an adult it can be hard to watch without being uncomfortable, I can imagine how a teenager would watch. The giggles and the gasps,” Robinson added.
School policy was violated because administrators were not made aware of the video and unable to formally approve of it before it was shown to the students.
“We have a policy that requires vetting and approval by staff members,” Robinson said.
SPARCC apologized for showing the explicit video following the controversy.
“We sincerely apologize for the incident last Wednesday at Pine View. The staff member did not follow established protocol regarding the programming presented, and the organization has acted to ensure that this does not happen again,” SPARCC said.
“SPARCC has had a positive relationship with Sarasota County Schools that has spanned more than 15 years and we take the trust placed in our organization very seriously. Preventing domestic/dating violence and sexual assault is central to our mission and SPARCC aims to be a trusted resource for our community,” they added.
LifeNews reported that Planned Parenthood has been involved in other diabolical propaganda campaigns at public schools. One of their educational campaigns has involved the distribution of a pamphlet for HIV-positive youth titled, “Healthy, Happy and Hot.”
