September 21 (King World News) – Eric King: “When you see that kind of danger unfolding, when you see those kinds of warning flags go up, and nobody around the world can really figure out what is happening and what is wrong but we all know something is wrong, and then you have the super wealthy who are aware of this and they are liquidating and going heavily into cash, what are your thoughts as you watch that because I don’t have to tell you that ’08-‘09 was a train wreck that was so disastrous it was like a mini 1930s, right? And we never fully cleansed because instead of letting that cleansing happen and that depression unfold and eventually come out of the depression, they decided to paper over everything and say, ‘We’re going to re-inflate all of these bubbles.’

Alasdair Macleod: “Well my thoughts, Eric, are the last time we had a problem in the property market it was very much a private sector problem, and governments were able — through the central banks — to write an open-ended check to buyout the banks, to buy the Fannie’s and the Freddie’s of the world, to just basically spend money to rescue the system. Whatever it took, they provided. All of the loss of confidence was about what was going on in the private sector.
