Lawmakers in the state of California proposed legislation last week that would allow non-citizens to lead the Democratic Party, serving in leadership positions at the state and local levels.

Senate Bill 288 (SB288) would remove certain prohibitions against non-citizens participating in party politics. If the legislation is passed, non-citizens could hold positions as state convention delegates and serve in county leadership. Local Democratic Party officials have gleefully talked about the possibility of so-called Dreamers, illegals brought into the country at a young age, having a direct role in determining the future of their party.

“We need to continue to send a very, very loud message that we are … going to embrace and uplift and support all American immigrant neighbors,” said Sen. Scott Wiener, the lawmaker from San Francisco who is the primary sponsor of the legislation.

Weiner claims he filed the legislation in part to to counter the “enormous fear and anxiety” caused by the Trump administration’s border enforcement policies. Trump’s push to secure the borders has driven the Democrats even fur

Under the proposal, illegals would have the opportunity to craft the party platform for California Democrats, as they now openly kowtow to their new constituent base. Republican leaders in the state are not happy about the proposal.

“It’s abject pandering and arrogance,” Shawn Steel, the Republican National Committeeman for California, said to Fox News. “This is what happens when you have too much power…it’s just progressives trying to out-progressive each other.”

Steel believes that the measure is likely to pass because the Democrats have gained a super-majority over the state, controlling both legislative chambers and holding the governorship.

“Democrats can do whatever they want in California right now,” Steel said. “They think nobody is going to oppose them.”

One of the bill’s co-authors, Democratic Assemblyman David Chiu from San Francisco, admits that the party is working toward the day when “human beings are not considered illegal” and immigrants are able to flood the political process regardless of whether they are legal citizens.

Many Republican commentators have been saying for years that it is the Democrats’ goal to flood the border with illegals in order to form a stranglehold over political power. They are now openly admitting that this is the case, even as criminal activity perpetrated by illegal immigrants spikes in sanctuary jurisdictions across the country.
