CBP: Border Patrol has apprehended over 200,000 families at southwest border in April

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Officials with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a tweet that the number of families and unaccompanied children has skyrocketed to 64 percent of apprehensions at the southwest border.
Border Patrol apprehended more than 285,000 families and about 50,000 unaccompanied minors in the month of April.
The number of family units & unaccompanied children has skyrocketed to 64% of SW border apprehensions.
