Joseph Stalin’s firearms registration and confiscation was a tremendous success for the Socialist state.

Under the Tsar, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. That all changed when Stalin and the communists took control. Stalin was able to control, starve, punish and imprison a defenseless people… after he took their guns. (Zinnfigur)

This video is a shocking reminder on how Stalin was able to control, starve, punish and imprison a defenseless people.

It’s no secret that Democrats are hoping to repeat this history here in the United States.

Today in Venezuela the citizens regret giving up their guns to the Socialist Chavez regime.

The Truth About Guns reported:

“In 2012, Venezuela’s dictator-for-life President Hugo Chavez had his rubber stamp legislature pass the Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law. The public generally supported it at the time. The law stripped law-abiding Venezuelans of every firearm and round of ammunition they could legally own.

As the country and its citizens have increasingly benefitted from the wonders of Bolivarian socialism, it appears that the public now regrets their support for total civilian disarmament.

“Guns would have served as a vital pillar to remaining a free people, or at least able to put up a fight,” Javier Vanegas, 28, a Venezuelan teacher of English now exiled in Ecuador, told Fox News. “The government security forces, at the beginning of this debacle, knew they had no real opposition to their force. Once things were this bad, it was a clear declaration of war against an unarmed population.”

If only the citizens of Venezuela had the right to keep and bear arms as a check against government tyranny.

Once again, another nation demonstrates what can and frequently does happen to a disarmed populace. The despotism pushed by the authoritarian ruling class can proceed full force, with no realistic threat of opposition from the people they subjugate.

Venezuela’s government used to be despotic when the U.S. puppet was in charge. It has not been so since Chavez and now Maduro is the president. It is a somewhat divided country because they took control of their oil and mining away from western corporations and spent money lifting the majority, native Mestizo population out of poverty, so they would have decent food, housing, education, and medical care. The other group who supported and benefited from the corporate raping of the country do not appreciate their change in fortune and have engaged in violent protest. Everything we are being told about Venezuela in the western press, MSM and much of the alt-media is false. It is sad to realize what was supposed to be truth media has turned out to be just a conveyor belt for the propaganda of the establishment.
People who write articles like this always seem to forget to mention other countries who have taken away the guns. Australia, Britain, and Canada to name 3.
