RUSSIA has unleashed its terrifying new weapon that makes enemies hallucinate and vomit by shining beams of light in their eyes.

The Russian Navy has fitted the chilling new technology to its warships the Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Kasatonov – which are part of Russia’s Northern Sea fleet.
Called the 5P-42 Filin, meaning Eagle Owl, the sci-fi weapon can cause troops to miss their targets by blinding them, making them delirious and want to be sick.
It can also “effectively suppress” night vision technology, laser distance sensors and range-finding systems for anti-tank missiles from three miles away, manufacturer Ruselectronics claims.
Aerospace Defence said the new weapon can be used by “law enforcement agencies for covert operations and counter-terrorism efforts”.
Spokesman for Ruselectronics, Sergey Abramov, said: “It deprives criminals of an opportunity to provide accurate fire or keep track of combat troops transfer.”
The weapon was tested on volunteers who shot assault rifles, sniper rifles and machine guns at targets that were protected by the Filin.
All of the volunteers had trouble aiming because they were unable to see the target.
Also their physical condition was affected with 45% feeling sick, dizzy and disorientated.
About 20% of the volunteers also reported seeing a “ball of light moving in front of the eyes”.
Ruselectronics told RIA Novosti media agency that volunteers noted the hallucinogenic effect of exposure, described by one as (double quote marks) “a spot of light floats before my eyes”.
The agency also said each Russian frigate has received two sets of “visual optical interference stations”.
