‘Europe-building is OVER’ Business analyst reveals WHY 2019 will DOOM Juncker’s EU dream

A BUSINESS analyst has warned that 2019 could be the final year of the EU as a Europe-building project as he revealed the “biggest fear” among investors in Europe.

Cedomir Nestorovic of ESSEC Business School admitted Brexit was a concern but insisted there was a bigger danger for Europeans this year.

He said the biggest problem facing investors was the imminent downfall of the European Union.

Speaking to CNBC, Mr Nestorovic said: “The biggest fear will be the elections in May 2019 because the rise of populism.

“I’m not confident that there will be Europe-building capacity in the future, like we have had in the past.

“Markets haven’t looked at it yet but a fear worse than Brexit is on the way.

“For a majority of EU countries, Brexit is over, Britain has left.

There are growing concerns about the possible outcome of May’s European Parliament election.

Earlier this week, the French Yellow Vest protest movement floated the idea of campaigning for seats in Strasbourg.
