Manchester ‘terror’ stabbings occur hours after ISIS calls for lone wolf attacks
THE Manchester stabbings – now being treated as a suspected terror attack by police – occurred just hours after ISIS media channels called for lone wolf attacks across the world, it has emerged.

Three people were left in critical condition last night after following the horrifying attack at Manchester Victoria railway station. Greater Manchester Police said it was treating the New Year’s Eve stabbings as a suspected terror attack. Just hours before two revellers and a police officer were stabbed, it was revealed that ISIS supporters had shared messages online encouraging “lone wolf” attacks.
One poster threatened a New Year’s Day attack in New York City and another encouraged an attack in London with Big Ben in the background.

The London poster reads “welcome to bloody years”.
Another ones shows a burning New York skyline and an ISIS fighter and reads: “New York 1/1/2019.
“And hit them with the explosive belts and vehicle bomb, and shock them with adhesive explosive packages, and harvest them with silencers and snipers, horrify and terrify with the intrusions.”
The British Transport Police were called at 8:52pm to reports of a man with a knife.
Police confirmed it was searching an address in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, where the 25-year-old suspect is believed to have most recently been living.
They have not confirmed an ISIS link and they tasered and pepper-sprayed the suspect at the scene before arresting him.
The station was closed and police have confirmed they have arrested a man who was carrying a “long kitchen knife”. An eye-witness said they heard the attacker shout “Allah” during the incident.
