Mattis Isn’t The Only Warmonger Gone In The Trump Administration – So Is This Guy!

While people like Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who helped finance the Islamic jihadis who became the Islamic State along with the late Senator John “Songbird” McCain, claim that they don’t think the US should be the policemen of the world, it seems that Trump is actually acting on that belief.

Upon the announcement that President Donald Trump was pulling US troops out of Syria and Afghanistan, Defense Secretary General James Mattis submitted his resignation. However, though Mattis’ resignation is not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, he was not the only one to resign. Brett McGurk resigned as the U.S. envoy to the global coalition fighting the Islamic State Saturday.

Clearly, McGurk, like Mattis, was not in agreement with pulling US troops out of Syria. He made that known prior to Trump’s decision.

“Nobody is saying that they are going to disappear. Nobody is that naive,” McGurk told reporters on Dec. 11. “So we want to stay on the ground and make sure that stability can be maintained in these areas.”

On Friday, McGurk submitted his resignation letter to Secretary of State Mike Polpeo. His resignation will be effective December 31, 2018.

McGurk was appointed to the post by Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah in 2015 and retained by President Trump. He also previously served as a deputy assistant secretary of state for Iraq and Iran. During the negotiations for Obama’s Iran nuclear “deal,” he led secret talks with Tehran on the release of Americans imprisoned there.

Trump took to Twitter to make clear what he had promised about getting out of these wars and Syria is just the latest country he is acting on.

“I am in the White House, working hard. News reports concerning the Shutdown and Syria are mostly FAKE. We are negotiating with the Democrats on desperately needed Border Security (Gangs, Drugs, Human Trafficking & more) but it could be a long stay. On Syria, we were originally going to be there for three months, and that was seven years ago – we never left. When I became President, ISIS was going wild. Now ISIS is largely defeated and other local countries, including Turkey, should be able to easily take care of whatever remains. We’re coming home!” Trump tweeted.
