BREAKING: Ring of Fire EARTHQUAKE as Papua New Guinea rocked by huge tremor
PAPUA New Guinea has been taken by surprise with an earthquake hitting the North East of the country on Friday.

The tremor has been registered at 5.9 by the US Geological Survey and struck 148kms south of Rabaul Island.
No tsunami warning has been given and there are no immediate reports of damage.
Papua New Guinea has suffered several strong earthquakes over the past few months which have been registered off the the coast of the island and not caused casualties or damage.
A major 7.0 magnitude quake was registered 125 miles south-west of Rabaul in October.
It was followed by further tremors later that month of 5.7, 5.9 and 6.2 on the Richter scale.
