On Tuesday, the House Judiciary released transcripts from Comey’s second closed-door testimony on Capitol Hill Monday as part of a joint investigation with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committees into the handling of the Clinton email investigation and his involvement in FISAGate.

Congressman John Ratcliffe (R-TX) was one of the many Republican lawmakers present at the hearing Monday to ask James Comey about the classified memos he gave to his friend Daniel Richman who he authorized to leak to the New York Times with the intention of prompting a special counsel.

James Comey penned seven memos stemming from nine conversations he had with President Trump.

Four out of seven of the memos contained classified information, however; legal experts argue all seven of Comey’s memos were considered classified.

When Congressman Ratcliffe asked James Comey when, and how many of the Trump memos he gave his friend-turned-FBI employee-turned-lawyer Daniel Richman, Comey replied. “Yeah. I’m not going to answer that — I’m not going to answer communications in connection with my interactions with my counsel…I sent Dan Richman images of one memo, the unclassified February 14th memo, for the purpose of his sharing it with a journalist.”
