President Donald Trump showed a giant barbed wire fence at the U.S.-Mexico border and touted how there are ‘no climbers anymore’ under his administration after footage showed migrants scaling a section of the border wall.

‘The Fake News is showing old footage of people climbing over our Ocean Area Fence. This is what it really looks like – no climbers anymore under our Administration!,’ he tweeted Monday along with a photo of a massive barbed wire fence several feet high.

Trump has been railing against a migrant caravan making its way from Central America toward the United States.

He made it a huge issue in the midterm elections, particularly as he campaigned for GOP Senate candidates running in states he won in 2016. Republicans were able to knock off four Democratic senators in these red states.

The president’s latest tweet comes after a Fox TV station in San Diego showed footage of people climbing the fence near Border Field State Park on the California/Mexico border after parts of the caravan arrived in Tijuana.

And photos appeared of people climbing the fence and sitting on top of the wall.

Several people who scaled the fence or crawled through openings ran back as Border Patrol agents approached, it was reported.

That lead to Border officials adding razor wire to the top and bottom of the fence that divides San Diego from Tijuana, according to Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Katie Waldman.

Nearly 3,000 immigrants have made it to Tijuana, most of them from Honduras.

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum called their arrival an ‘avalanche’ the city is ill-prepared to handle, calculating that they will be in Tijuana for at least six months as they wait to file asylum claims, according to the Associated Press.
