The flooded area – that covers 18 counties – has received around 8 to 10 inches of rainfall in just two days.

As a result, the FM 2900 bridge over the Llano River collapsed after the water level rose by more than 40ft on Tuesday.

Water levels inside many of the state’s rivers are now at a record high, as the flood threatens those nearby.

One body was found at around noon in the Colorado River between the communities of Highland Haven and Kingsland.

The Llano River meets the Colorado River in Kingsland and houses in the surrounding areas have been flooded.

Shocking video footage shows the moment part of the broken bridge made its way down the river.

And now the Llano County Office of Emergency Management has ordered people living within a quarter mile of the river to evacuate.

Law enforcement officers have been helping those affected.
