One of President Trump’s most loyal foot soldiers waged a war with pop star and self-made millionaire Taylor Swift on Twitter Monday morning.
Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas who has failed in both of his bids for president, went after the 28-year-old music superstar who is worth $350 million in the wake of her endorsement of Phil Bredesen, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Tennessee.
‘So @TaylorSwift13 has every right to be political but it won’t impact election unless we allow 13 yr old girls to vote. Still with #MarshaBlackburn,’ wrote Huckabee.
That comment was quickly met with a flood of attacks, pointing out that there were a number of flaws in Huckabee’s conclusion and lashing out at him for going after a far younger (and yet astronomically richer) woman.
