Nine-year-old migrant boys threaten school kids with knives near German school – Parents in fear

Two children from the Charles Darwin Elementary School in Chemnitz say they have been threatened with knives by 9-year-old migrant boys, German news outlet TAG24 reports.
At the school, in which 54 per cent of the students have a migration background, the incident has caused parents and teachers to fear for their children’s safety.
Andreas Lindner, the father of one of the school’s pupils, was informed by his 9-year-old daughter about the incident. “She said that two boys with a migrant background threatened other boys with a knife,” Lindner says.
Roman Schulz, a spokesman for the State Office for Education and School, confirmed to news outlet TAG24 that there was an incident at the school.
Although the incident happened outside the school and is not within the school’s jurisdiction, local educators responded immediately: For two school days, the belongings of the two suspects – two students of a preparatory class for migrant children – were checked. But nothing was found.
The background of the dispute, according to the school, was a prolonged conflict between the four parties involved. Teachers had already observed fights between the boys involved.
“There will also be a conversation this week with the four students, their parents and class teachers, and the school will provide a letter to parents confirming that the children were never in danger at school and that there were no knife attacks,” Roman Schulz says.
