LONDON BLOODBATH: Man stabbed at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo during awards ceremony

A MAN is seriously ill in hospital after being stabbed at a grime music awards ceremony at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.

The victim, 37, was knifed at the historic venue in west London during the GRM Daily Rated Awards ceremony last night.

He was raced to a nearby hospital for treatment and remains in a serious condition, according to police.

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the attack.

A spokesman for the Eventim Apollo said: “During an event at the Eventim Apollo, an incident occurred where a male was seriously assaulted.

“The individual received immediate medical care onsite and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

“The matter is being investigated by the Metropolitan Police Service, and we are assisting them with their enquiries.”

Scotland Yard said: “Police were called to the Eventim Apollo, Queen Caroline Street, W6 at 9:10pm yesterday to reports of a male stabbed.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A 37-year-old male was discovered suffering from stab wounds.
