War zone London: Teenage boy FIGHTING FOR LIFE after shooting on capital’s streets

A TEENAGER is in a critical condition in hospital after a shooting in London on Saturday night.

Police were called to York Road in Wandsworth, southwest London to reports of a shooting.

A 16-year-old boy was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

His injuries are thought to be critical.

No arrests have been made yet.

Police have closed off the A3205 York Road between Wandsworth Bridge and Wynter Street.

Wandsworth police tweeted: “Police are currently dealing with an incident in York Road #Wandsworth cordons are in place, Usk Road also closed — traffic disruption expected, motorists please avoid area.”

In a statement, a Met Police spokesman said: “Officers attended with specialist firearms colleagues.

“A 16-year-old boy was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
