HUGE earthquake strikes Ring of Fire region
A MASSIVE 7.0 magnitude quake struck near the islands of New Caledonia.

The powerful undersea quake rattled the South Pacific islands on Wednesday, the Pacific Warning Center said.
It added there was no Pacific-wide tsunami threat.
Monitors said the quake struck at a shallow depth of six miles some 230 miles east of the New Caledonia capital, Noumea.
It comes after two separate tremors were recorded in California.
No damage was reported.
“We felt it and they felt it more strongly on the Loyalty Islands,” Civil Defense spokesman Olivier Ciry said.
“But there is nothing to say. There is no damage, no tsunami and we don’t expect anything else,” he added.
