You would probably have never known Adrien Perez, but the boy with a smile was murdered by Arabs on his birthday.
His friends say he was a very good boy, nice, not aggressive. He always had a smile. He was always in a good mood. He made everyone laugh.
Adrien was smart as well, he had a degree from the Joseph-Fourier University in Grenoble, south east France. But the life of Adrien stopped on the 29th of July in front of the club “Le Phoenix”, in Meylan.
In an interview with French newspaper Le Parisien his parents speak out on how his death broke his entire family. They don’t spare France either. According to them the country is sinking into violence.
“Adrien, he was my pride, my treasure, my happiness. They took him away from us, they took him from us. They broke our life. They broke an entire family. They broke friends. Adrien, it was my little one, my baby that I will not see anymore”, his mother, Patricia Perez, says in tears.
“I will never forgive those who did that. It is unforgivable. I hate them. I say it from the depths of my heart,” she adds.
According to the newspaper Adrien intervened to defend his best friend against several attackers. But then he was stabbed fatally.
When his father, Bruno Perez was asked if they intended to kill him he says:
“Obviously. My son was killed with a knife in the heart. When we aim at the heart, it is a will to kill. It’s a murder. They did not try to aim at an arm or a leg. And what did these people do with knives in a nightclub? My life stopped on Sunday with the death of my son.”
“Several young people have been killed in recent years in the Grenoble conurbation. There are silent marches, and then it starts again. There is an ultra-violent minority, scoundrels, who terrorise the poor people. And we have the impression that the state does nothing. It’s endless violence,” Bruno Perez adds.
