INDONESIA’s resort islands of Bali and Lombok were rocked by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake triggering panic among holidaymakers and residents.

A powerful earthquake rocked Indonesia’s Lombok island sending people running from their homes and triggering a tsunami alert, just a week after a quake killed 17 people on the holiday island.
Pictures show damage to buildings and vehicles, residents being evacuated and some people receiving medical treatment.
The United States Geological Survey said the epicentre of the quake was on land on Lombok.
The latest tremor had a magnitude of seven and struck just 10 km underground according to the US Geological Survey. It was followed by two aftershocks.
