‘I don’t know if that’s what they voted for,’ Trump stated at an emergency press conference following the NATO summit in Brussels.

Unlike previous Presidents, who tried to tell British voters how to vote for Brexit, President Trump stated that it wasn’t his place to say what he thinks of Mrs. May’s Chequers Brexit (not Brexit) deal. He did affirm in his statements that it was our democratic right to choose to leave the EU, saying that “the people voted to break it up so I would imagine that’s what they’ll do but maybe they are taking a bit of a different route so I don’t know if that’s what they voted for.”

The President continued: “I’ve been reading a lot about Brexit over the past couple of days and it seems to be turning a little bit differently. They are getting partially involved back with the European Union.”

His words could not be more true. They resonate with every Brexit voter, as well as with the increase of 15% of those who now support it. “I just want the people to be happy, they are great people,” Trump said.

The current ‘Brexit’ plan of the present government actually tie the UK to the EU in a far less autonomous manner than we presently are, and prohibits our ability to have free trade with countries, such as the US.
