Hawaii volcano Kilauea has continued to fire red-hot molten lava into the sky on the volcano’s lower East Rift Zone on the Big Island.

In the shocking footage from the United States Geological Survey, lava can be seen spraying out of Fissure 8 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The lava rockets into the air with toxic gases also being emitted into the atmosphere.

The Hawaii volcano was recorded pumping ash more than 11,000ft into the skyline during a series of eruptions on Saturday.

A total of 82 buildings have now been damaged by the Hawaii volcano, a massive leap from 50 structures just a few days ago.

Around 15,000 acres of land has been wrecked by the lava since the volcano started erupting on May 3.

So far over 20 fissures have opened up in the surrounding area of the volcano on Big Island, spewing lava and toxic gases.

A spokesman for the USGS said: “Volcanic gas emissions remain very high from the fissure eruptions. Magma continues to be supplied to the lower East Rift Zone.
