German police in the city of Freiburg have identified and arrested five suspects who attacked an ambulance crew in the city’s centre, TAG 24 reports.
The paramedics wanted to help a drunk when the teenagers attacked them. Because of the attack, the healthcare professionals were forced to abort their work.
Because the rescuers were “in their territory” and “had no business there”, they were chased away, according to the attackers. Police say, the arrested belong to a group that is also responsible for other crimes such as assaults and bodily harm.
The incident happened in January 2018. Since then, the security partnership (SiPa) has investigated the case. German sources say the youngsters have been causing trouble for some time in Freiburg’s city centre.
