Four people were killed and at least three others wounded after a naked gunman opened fire at a Waffle House restaurant last night before fleeing the scene.
An explosion was heard at the apartment complex in Antioch where Travis Reinking supposedly lived, local media reports.
SWAT team officers are on the scene.
Local reporter Natalie Allison wrote: “Some SWAT guys approached suspect’s apartment, used a speaker to call him out and then there was a loud bang I could hear a mile away down the street.”
And TV reporter Brent Remadna said: “A loud bang just went off at the apartment complex in Antioch where the alleged gunman Travis Reinking suspect supposedly lived.
“Swat has parked outside.”
The shooting happened at the breakfast chain Waffle House at around 3.30am local time (9.30am GMT).
A gunman in the “nude” entered the chain restaurant in Antioch, near Nashville, before opening fire on diners with a high-powered rifle.
The assailant is described as a white man with short hair and was using what is believed to be an AR-15 rifle.
Four people were killed, before customers managed to wrestle the gunman to the ground – who then fled.
